| Core Features * New in version 2 Integrated Windows Explorer Client (*) DocMoto 2 is completely integrated into Windows Explorer. This makes it simple and straightforward for users to access DocMoto’s functionality. By extending Windows Explorer to support DocMoto, users are working with software they are already familiar and comfortable with. Load folders and Files in Minutes with Drag and Drop (*) DocMoto 2’s integrated Windows Explorer client fully supports drag and drop. This means entire folders of files and documents can be added to the system by simply dragging them to the correct location. This makes initial setup and on-going usage simple and very fast. User Definable Meta data Searching (*) DocMoto supports the entry of user definable Meta tags. These tags (which can be made optional or mandatory) allow content to be searched by known data criteria such as author name, subject or keywords. Full Text (content) Searching (*) DocMoto 2 supports full text or content searching. Full text searching allows you to search the text or content of a document as well as just its title. By default DocMoto 2 can search all MS Office file formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as text and HTML. Additional filters are also available for numerous other file formats including PDF, Star / Open Office, Autodesk DWF and Microsoft Project. Revision Control Using advanced Check-In, Check-Out technology DocMoto 2 ensures only one person can work on a file at any one time. Revision History DocMoto 2 keeps a full revision history of all the new versions of a file. Previous versions can be viewed at any time. Email Notification of New and Updated Files and Folders Users can elect to be automatically notified of events such as a new file being added, or an existing file being updated. Notification is made via email, and can be applied to both individual files and entire folders. Sophisticated File Security DocMoto 2 supports a sophisticated straightforward groups based security mechanism to restrict access to folders and individual files. Improved security login (*) DocMoto version 2 has a single sign in feature. Keep track of checked out files or folders with My Files (*) In real life users will have more than one file or folder checked out. DocMoto 2 makes it simple for a user to keep track of files or folders checked out to them through the “My Files” feature. Optional data storage type (*+) DocMoto 2 supports two formats for data storage. Data can be stored in a secure, encrypted and compressed data file, or a Microsoft SQL server Cross Site Replication (*+) If the option to store data in the Microsoft SQL server is selected then data can be replicated across multiple sites. |
