DocMoto is a multi-user document, file and email manager for Mac. It allows organisations to store all files in one central location. The interface is simple to use, and being Mac specific, very familiar for Mac users. DocMoto is so simple to use it can store everything such as drawings, documents, legal case work, even email and music. All accessible through the one interface.
Every file you add to DocMoto is revision controlled. Nothing is ever overwritten. In a busy organisation this can make a big impact. Everybody knows the latest version, who is working on it, and what changes have been made. In this screenshot the user is looking at the revision history of a file.
Docmoto incorporates Apple technology by using Quick Look to view versions. In this screenshot the user has selected all versions ready to compare in Quick Look.
Users can visually compare different versions of a file using Quick Look without the need to individually download each version.
DocMoto is highly customizable. Whenever a folder is created you can choose which columns of information will be displayed. In this case a folder to store email is being created. Columns for subject, from, date and priority are being selected.
Once created the folder is ready to accept email, as this screenshot shows. Using this technique DocMoto can be configured to hold any kind of files you want. Images, music, documents, legal case work, email or drawings. All are possible with DocMoto.
This screenshot shows a folder that has been configured to store images. In this case the columns are displaying tag data that is embedded within the image. The data has been automatically extracted by an external process through DocMoto´s API. All tag data is searchable within DocMoto.
DocMoto can be configured to ask the user for specific data when a file is being added or checked-in after modification. In this case a user is being asked how long they have spent working on the file they are checking in, and to select a file status from a list of options. This list and its options are configurable and any data entered can be searched or used for reporting purposes.
DocMoto can run predefined scripts or templates when a new folder is created. This is to allow you to model the processes you run when creating a new job, project or legal case. In this screenshot a template is being selected for a new project. The template will automatically create appropriate sub folders and add files.
The template has run and created all the necessary sub folders as well as adding any files. This simple but powerful feature can be used to automate any common activity, creating a new job, starting a project, creating a legal case, etc.
DocMoto has a powerful search facility which includes a file's content and tag data. Any data that has been entered can be searched, and searches can be saved for repeated use.
DocMoto has a comprehensive opt in notification system. Users can register for email notification of one or more events. This powerful system can reduce wait time, as well as improve an organisation's efficiency.
DocMoto has full security. Simple but powerful, users can be restricted from accessing folders and files.
